Ingredients
  

  • 1 box devil’s food chocolate cake mix plus ingredients listed on the box, usually oil, eggs, and water
  • 1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 jar 12.25 oz caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 –5 Skor bars chopped (or about 1 cup Skor toffee bits)
  • 1 container 8 oz Cool Whip or whipped cream (thawed)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Cake Batter:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the devil’s food cake mix according to the package instructions, combining the mix with the required oil, eggs, and water. Pour the batter evenly into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.

Bake the Cake:

  • Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

Add Sweetened Condensed Milk:

  • Once the cake is cooled, poke holes all over the top using a fork or skewer. Pour the entire can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak in and add moisture and sweetness.

Layer Caramel and Skor Bits:

  • Spread the caramel sauce evenly over the sweetened condensed milk layer. Then sprinkle the chopped Skor bars or toffee bits generously across the top, ensuring every slice will get some toffee goodness.

Top with Whipped Cream:

  • Finally, spread the thawed Cool Whip or whipped cream over the caramel and toffee layer, covering the cake completely. Refrigerate the cake for at least one hour before serving to let the flavors meld together and the topping set.

Notes: For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the cake batter. If you prefer a crunchier texture, toast the chopped Skor bars lightly before adding. Homemade caramel sauce can elevate the flavor but store-bought works perfectly fine.
