  • 227  g unsalted butter room temperature
  • 4  g salt
  • 5 eggs
  • 195  g cake flour
  • 8  g baking powder
  • 30  g milk powder
  • 20  g almond flour almond powder
  • 20  g milk
  • 20  g sliced almonds

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C (356 °F). Prepare a 20 × 10 cm (8×4‑inch) baking pan by greasing it and lining with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the butter and sugar. Mix briefly with a spatula, then beat with a mixer—starting on low and increasing to high—for about 10 minutes, until pale and fluffy.
  • Stir in the salt. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. It may look curdled at this point; that’s okay. Scrape the bowl sides occasionally to ensure even mixing.
  • Sift together cake flour, milk powder, and almond flour. Gently add them into the batter along with the milk. Mix just until combined. Then fold in the chia seeds if you’re following the broader concept.
  • Fold the batter until smooth. Pour it into the prepared pan. Sprinkle sliced almonds evenly on top for texture and visual appeal.
  • Bake for 40–50 minutes, until the top is golden and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
